Neville
is December's
Engine of the Month |
|
| Bio: |
|
|
Unfortunately for Neville….Neville is a
Steamie who looks like a diesel. Neville’s
wants to be friends with everyone. Enthusiastic,
friendly and wanting to be part of the team, he is an all round good
engine. Even when the other engines are horrid to him, he does not hold a grudge.
He is a smiler, rather than a frowner and everyone’s friend.

Fun Fact: |
|
|
“Neville”
is a Q1 Class 0-6-0 tender engine. Built
by the Southern Railway in 1938-39 and designed by Oliver Bullied. The wartime ‘austerity’ design was a cost cutting exercise.
The design was used for wartime freight and carried nicknames of
“Charlies and “Spam cans”. |
